The role of the Parts/Store Person is to provide our customers with a professional and dependable service while promoting the company’s products and services to deliver a superior standard of customer care.
This is a unique opportunity to become part of our after sales team offering our customers a personal and professional service based in a fast-growing Midlands Construction Plant Dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Dealing with customers parts queries at trade counter, on the phone and via email.
- Develop a relationship with our customer base.
- Fulfilling parts requisitions for workshop technicians.
- Be involved in stock control and stocktaking.
- Entering, receiving, and storing of parts shipments.
- Stocking and receiving spare parts.
- Assist with invoicing of all parts.
- Timely shipment of parts to customers at best rates using preferred service providers (hauliers, couriers, shipping companies).
- Maintain a clean and well merchandised parts counter and shop floor.
- Support the Parts Manager with the re-ordering of selected product lines ensuring appropriate stock levels to meet demand.
- Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers where necessary and build good working relationships with all relevant stakeholders.
The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities.
- Must be customer focused and have excellent personal skills.
- Should be self-motivated, flexible, and willing to learn.
- Able to work as part of a team.
- Proficient in the English language with good communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Competent Computer skills.
- Knowledge of plant machinery or mechanical agricultural sector would be a distinct advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
- Previous experience working in a busy parts department would be an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.
