IT Manager - County Westmeath. Job Summary: As IT Manager you will ensure the stability of the existing technologies and identify opportunities for new technologies. You will control data and technology security. As IT Manager you will be strategic in your approach to develop the IT infrastructure, embracing continuous quality improvement, and the management of all areas necessary to achieve departmental and company objectives. Principal Accountabilities: Establish and maintain relationships with IT vendors, negotiating contracts and service level agreements. Develop and implement the company's IT strategy in alignment with the overall business strategy. Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Process Improvement - continually improving the IT services. Ensure the security and integrity of data and information systems. Oversee IT projects from conception to completion, including project planning, resource allocation, and risk management. Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Development and protection of intellectual property. Responsible for reviewing the performance of employees under your supervision; setting objectives for their training and development; providing support and creating opportunities for their training and development; giving feedback and evaluating the effectiveness and performance improvement. Ensure all employees have the appropriate departmental training for their role. On completion of training, ensure employees have signed off the relevant training and forward to HR department. Stay up to date with new technologies and trends in the IT industry. Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems. Skills and Experience sought for this role: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, ITIL V4 or other industry relevant qualifications. Relevant experience in IT management, with a proven track record of success. Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security. Experience managing IT budgets and negotiating with vendors. Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, such as GDPR and ISO 27001. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. .
