Position: Site Engineer- Australia Looking to travel abroad to work?  Our client is a leading global contractor responsible for creating complex landmark buildings and infrastructure projects. They are currently recruiting for Site Engineers to be based in Australia.  The Site Engineer is responsible for providing co - ordination and operational support to a construction project, and by liaising with the Project Engineers, Site Managers and Supervisors ensure internal and external information flow is apparent in order to meet the construction program requirements. Roles and Responsibilities Communicate relevant project information as appropriate to consultants, authorities, sub-contractors and project staff. Together with the Site Supervisor, liaise with construction staff and sub-contractors in planning and executing work with particular emphasis on sequencing and timing. Assist the management team to implement the Project Management Plan. Assist Project Engineers in undertaking programming, planning and forecasting to ensure design and construction activities adhere to the overall construction program. Monitor progress, identify and report on issues which may affect the program. Assist the Site Supervisor to develop work programs off the master construction plan. In conjunction with Senior Site Supervisors, manage and monitor critical components of the project such as structure, façade and fit-out. Monitor the progress of sub-contractors on site and ensure correct implementation of design. With consultants, conduct site inspections as critical checkpoints and ensure remedial actions are carried out where required. Provide regular reports to the Project Engineer, Site Manager and Project Manager. Implement and monitor the Quality AssurancePlan for the project. Conduct regular audits on Quality Assurance Plans of sub-contractors. Assist in the creation and implementation of a site safety plan. Comply with Management System policies and procedures. Liaise with the client, the client’s agent or end users as determined by the Project Manager. Essential Knowledge & Experience Background in Engineering. Construction and delivery process. Knowledge of Engineering principles and experience in actual documentation delivery. Ability to read drawings. Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia. Knowledge of Design, Estimating and Procurement. Experience in tender submission. Qualification Bachelor’s degree –Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Building or similar.
