Global Reinsurance Group have a 1 year contract opportunity available for a Senior Financial Accountant. The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with at least three years post qualified experience working in the Insurance or Reinsurance sector. This position is hybrid working. Role overview. The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for financial accounting, budgets, financial reporting, and aspects of regulatory reporting, who ensure that the respective entities financial results are accurately recorded and fully analysed. Key Responsibilities. Participation in quarterly closing process and Group financial reporting. Integration and reconciliation of underwriting data into general ledgers. Ensure financial reporting is accurate, complete and appropriate for group and segment reporting. Responsible for reinsurance underwriting system reconciliations. Assist with the management and support of service providers responsible for booking underwriting transactions. Prepare and analyse all accounts and the general ledger records. Prepare quarterly group reporting disclosures and regulatory reporting inputs. Responsible for reviewing bank reconciliations and proactive cash management. Participate in key finance systems initiatives and implementations. Act as point of contact for Internal and External auditors. Prepare ad-hoc analyses and financial reports as required by the CFO and Board of Directors. Qualification and Experience required. Professional accounting qualification ACA,ACCA, CIMA or CPA is required with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience. Experience working in the Reinsurance or Insurance sector is required. Proficiency in Irish GAAP and/or IFRS for insurance and reinsurance. Familiarity with US GAAP, particularly in relation to differences to local GAAP for reinsurance transactions. Working knowledge of regulatory capital standards and reports including Solvency II.
