Description

On behalf of our Manufacturing Client based in Co Limerick, we are sourcing a Qualified Time Served Tool Maker to join their Team. In the role you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of Mould Tooling. Duties and Responsibilities. ·       To manufacture, repair and service all tools – have the ability to dismantle, clean, repair and reassemble multi-impression tooling. ·       Attending Mould breakdowns to identify the root cause and solve the problem including flashing conditions, gating, venting and cooling problems. ·       Using machinery such as lathes, presses, milling machines and grinders. ·       Work effectively with all team members to assist in the continuous improvement. ·       Carry out Preventative Maintenance on tooling as per PM Schedule. ·       Any other duties as assigned by the maintenance and Tool Room Manager. ·       Maintain Moulds as defined in the General Maintenance Procedure. ·        Record all maintenance activity in appropriate files and compile reports. ·        Support the spare parts inventory system through assigning of all parts used and scheduled stock takes. ·        Ensure the safety of the working area. ·        Implement tool room housekeeping practices. ·        Performs other duties as assigned. ·        Ensure compliance to the Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Energy Management systems. ·       Following engineering drawings to measure and mark out the design for the tool.   Requirements. ·       Ability to work as part of a team and on one’s own initiative. ·       Solas-qualified Tool Maker, equivalent with 3-5+ years post-qualification experience in an Injection Moulding Environment. ·       Experience required with hot runner system maintenance. ·       Referenceable track record in problem-solving. ·       Experience in factory environment an advantage. ·       Self-motivated, high energy, positive attitude with initiative for timely completion of goods. ·       Excellent practical skills. ·       Ability to show accuracy and attention to detail in work. ·       Ability to work to high specifications and quality requirements. ·       Good hand-eye coordination with an interest and an aptitude for engineering and practical work.   Benefits of the Role.
