Operational Technology Engineer - South Dublin. In this role you will be responsible for leading operational technology data acquisition, system security and act as a key member of the process excellence team. Key duties: • Establish the strategic direction for process excellence data acquisition, analysis and reporting. Drive the development of manufacturing process data strategy, plans and technologies. • Interface with global IT and site leadership to ensure action plans are met for operational technology security. Ensure manufacturing OT/IT systems are secure from threats. • Act as focal point in co-ordinating cross-plant activities, standardisation and communication relative to manufacturing OT systems. As Operational Technology Engineer you will work as part of the process excellence team in central engineering and will be responsible for: Providing the technical and administrative leadership for operational technologies across the organisation. Developing manufacturing data acquisition processes driving accurate business decisions for efficiency, capacity and costs. Assessing and improving system and maintenance performance based on availability and reliability. Act as SME ensuring Cyber Security for Operational Technology and Compliance security. OT technology sensing and evaluation. Providing input for new system addition. Controlling the release & deployment of new systems and modifications (change management. Ensuring knowledge and experience is accessible and shared across all site SME's. Responsible for the planning, management and successful execution of projects. Manage, coach and mentor engineering associates. Setting curricula for controls engineers including training and development planning. Submit written status updates or management reports on assigned projects as required. Responsible for preparation of Individual Impact Goals in accordance with assigned tasks, Division goals, and personal goals. Experience and Education requirements for this role: B.Sc. in Engineering with subsequent qualifications in controls and/ or data acquisition and database management. Experience with network layouts, servers, switches, firewall configuration and hardware/ software specifications. Six Sigma qualification desired. Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in manufacturing is required. Preferably automotive/ semi-conductor but others sectoral experience will be actively considered. Prior experience with PLC derived data, interfacing with MOM's and ERP (SAP), in high-volume production environments. Training in data acquisition, manipulation and representation with tools such as SQL, Azure, PowerBI. Familiarity with conducting risk assessments. Effective communications skills are essential. Experience in working with equipment suppliers and all levels of manufacturing plant personnel. Experience in preparing equipment specifications and project justifications.
