An exciting opportunity for a permanent Buyer/Supplier Manager to join a Procurement team in a manufacturing company. You will : - Be reporting to the Procurement Mgr & optimising material spend. Work with supply chain the forecasting team; Engaging with suppliers to ensure quality products & lead times met. Monitoring supplier performance for the category. Identify savings opportunities. Understand specifications for Dry Goods categories. Continuous improvement; understand, analyse & challenge the business. Complete spend & cost data analysis to drive potential cost reduction. Analyse supplier panel for product & substitute products. Identify any methods of innovating current processes through technological advances. Manage demand & forecasting with suppliers. Issue weekly & monthly forecast reports & talk ti suppliers on a daily/weekly basis. Analyse weekly forecast & action any potential shortages. Monitor safety stock adherence & annual PO's. Provide solutions for potential stock-out & action issues in a prompt manner. Communication with key stakeholders. Negotiate & define contracts with suppliers. Communicate with suppliers to ensure all necessary contract terms (price, quality, payment & delivery, etc.) are adhered to. Understand what is in the supplier contracts & ensure compliance. Monitor & manage supplier performance and meet their KPIs. Define objectives to ensure a clear path to success with supplier, aligned with procurement excellence. Plan & implement corrective actions & escalate matters. Perform contract mgt. activities to ensure the services & value are delivered as agreed in the contract. Manage monthly reviews with key suppliers & all relevant stakeholders. Assess third party risks & execute risk remediation actions. Skills & Exp. Ideally 5 years of exp. in procurement & SRM/Vendor mgt. knowledge of similar buying activity. Exp in the procurement of dry goods for manufacturing site. Negotiation skills & commercial acumen. Strong analytical skills & attention to detail. Ability to work on own initiative an able part of a team environment. Good working knowledge of SAP an advantage. Self-sufficient & innovative. Good teamwork & ability to develop interpersonal relationships. Strong & structured communicator. A competitive salary and benefits range is on offer for the right person.
