Our client plays a leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices. We are recruiting for a Programme Executive to actively support the development of the Behavioural Economics Unit to inform strategy and delivery. Responsibilities: Conduct analysis and research to provide authoritative advice on behavioural science and behaviour change to deliver better outcomes to the consumer, business and Government. Support the development of trial interventions and implementation. Conduct rigorous and transparent evaluation of interventions to support scale-up. Inform the commissioning of research projects on behavioural interventions to meet sustainable energy policy priorities. Work closely with the relevant teams and Departments to develop coordinated and integrated policy and implementation insights. Active participation in the Data and Insights team supporting other programme areas as required * Participate in national, European and international committees as required Key Knowledge and Skills. Good understanding of the behavioural science, literature and research and how it can be applied to help solve complex policy problems related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. Ability to support the design and running of rigorous evaluations and conduct statistical analysis. Experience in conducting statistical analysis of survey and administrative data in a timely manner * A good understanding of using the statistical program R, with a desire to continue to upskill. A knowledge of statistical analysis and use of large database (e.g. administrative database) for the purposes of evaluation or predictive modelling. Knowledge of qualitative behavioural research and analysis techniques. Experience in an energy-related policy field (e.g. government, academia, industry) would be an advantage. Requirements: Post-graduate qualification in a directly relevant subject area (including but not limited to behavioural economics, psychology, or sociology. Experience developing or delivering government policy. Demonstrated experience in running experiments and conducting statistical analysis. Minimum three years' experience of working in this or a related area. Ability to exercise initiative and to be able to operate independently. Ability to work effectively with their own team in order to achieve the task at hand. Must be flexible in approach in order to identify changes required in area in order to make it more effective and efficient. Excellent communication skills. Ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Full ownership of development, delivery, monitoring and review of relevant programmes. Knowledge of SQL and pulling information from disparate databases a large advantage.
