Description

Purpose of Role: Managing the Inventory control process and devise solutions to eliminate causes of stock discrepancies.  Build relationship with warehouse team, carrying out specific group counts etc., report and analyse level of stock losses and damages. Principle Function and Accountabilities: Reviews and monitors the timely confirmation and accuracy of inbound inventory, outbound shipments, and book adjustment transactions to ensure accurate inventory management records.    Coordinates and performs the taking of physical inventories in accordance with the internal and customer requirements, investigates inventory variances; directs the performance of daily/weekly cycle accounts.    Coordinates the activities associated with product recalls upon request.   Monitors the activities associated with customer return shipments including overages, shortages and damages; communicates concealed damages to manufacturer.   Supervises all inventory control personnel, if any, to achieve objectives relating to inventory control management, provides communication and suggests inventory improvements to supervisor.   Perform other related duties as assigned by management.  Effectively communicate with associates and customers in person and via telephone, verbally and non-verbally to accomplish necessary objectives.  Must be flexible to work overtime if required including weekends to ensure counts are completed. Must be able to shift priorities easily.  Assist with preparation of weekly/monthly inventory reports as required. Advise management of any potential receiving or shipping issues. Reconciliation of customer-warehouse transfers. Investigation of any customer complaints. Skills/Attributes Required: 3rd Level Qualification in Business or Engineering or equivalent experience.  3 years of materials experience or experience using ERP or WMS  Experience in working in regulated (cGMP / Goods Distribution Practice) environment.  Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  High attention to detail. MS Office application experience. Experience of working with ERP and WMS systems.
