Our client is a national organisation representing construction employers. A key support area is Industrial Relations. We are now seeking an IR professional with a thorough knowledge of IR, employment law and current HR practice to join the team. Delivering effective resolutions to industrial disputes including the provision of IR support in managing third party referrals. Developing and delivering an HR service to member firms using social media platforms, HR guides and online. As part of the IR team, maintain effective working relationships with other social partners, relevant Government departments, the Labour Court and the Workplace Relations Commission. Be an articulate, well-informed and effective advocate on behalf of employers in the sector. Key Skills and Experience: Qualified to Degree level in HR/IR or related discipline. 4+ years relevant experience particularly in Industrial Relations/Employment law with a demonstrated record of success in helping resolve industrial disputes and employee-related issues. Understanding of the role of a representative organisation serving the needs of members, and keeping them advised and up-to-date on changes and developments in IR and HR. Comprehensive knowledge of the IR / HR environment with particular strengths in using social media platforms including writing blogs and online articles. Capable of writing well thought out, detailed submissions, devising appropriate responses. Previous experience in an unionised environment is desirable.
