Buyer Planner - South Dublin. The Role. The main purpose of the job is to work as a member of the Supply Chain Team under the guidance of the Supply Chain Manager to execute daily administrative tasks within a busy Supply Chain department. The activities involved will feed into a system that ensures the Global Manufacturing business is operating within its set parameters. Key Responsibilities: • Sourcing from approved Vendors. • Place PO’s from an automated system. • Forecast entry on automated system. • Follow up with Vendors on open PO’s. • Follow up on any build shorts with vendors. • Updating information on vendor database. • Preparation and issue of Requests for Quotations (RFQ. • Expediting of vendor information. • Daily monitoring of delivery dates based on MRP demand changes. • Arrange timely collection and delivery of inventory with shipping / airfreight handlers. • Management of intercompany inventory transactions between EMEA, the EU and USA in line with sales forecasting and demand, while maintaining cash flow targets. • Identify risks to the production planning – recommending changes in line with material availability. • Assist with the cycle count process. • Collaborate with R&D, Quality and Operations to ensure NPI material requirements are met. Interested applicants should have: • Experience in procurement processes. • IT skills (Word, Excel, etc.) is essential. • ERP including MRP experience desirable. • Detailed knowledge of purchasing methods and procedures. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prepare and maintain records and files in an automated system. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to quickly build relationships with relevant parties. • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple requests from across several areas. • Strong sense of customer focus and teamwork. 3rd Level Supply Chain qualification desirable. Circa 1-2 years or more experience working in a supply chain environment.
