Purchasing Manager – Co Meath   About Your New Employer    Get to work with one of Irelands oldest and best known manufacturers of construction and concrete products. Opportunity to be a key senior member of a well-established company with almost 60 years in the business. Excellent salary and package with VHI, pension and bonus on offer.     About Your New Job    You will be required to: Meet with new and existing suppliers on a regular basis to keep up to date with trends, etc. in supply and price. Build relationships with suppliers to deal directly with supplier/producer in order to reduce costs. Renew and review existing suppliers’ pricing and supply terms. Conduct price comparison checks with potential suppliers in order to compare with existing suppliers. Source and price non-critical ‘once-off’ items as requested.   What Skills You Need    Recognised 3rd level qualification in Purchasing & Procurement. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of purchasing in a manufacturing/construction environment. Proven contract negotiation skills. Excellent knowledge of construction industry materials/plant.
