Description

The Economic and Social Research Institute, founded in 1960, is located in Dublin’s South Docklands area. Its mission is to produce high quality research, relevant to Ireland’s economic and social development, with the aim of contributing to knowledge and informing policymaking and public debate. It has over 100 staff including economists, sociologists and other social scientists, in addition to support and technical staff. The Economic and Social Research Institute (ESRI) wishes to make a 2-year appointment to join our Corporate Resources team.  The Institute seeks to appoint a Project Administrator on a two-year, fixed-term contract in the Project Office, the principle functions of which are: • To offer support and advice to researchers in relation to administration activities, e.g. projects, programmes, business development and conferences; • Management of the information systems in relation to time recording, cost allocation and resource planning; • To assist in the preparation of financial reports on projects and programmes, i.e. cost statements, work-in-progress, outturn reports, liaising with external clients and auditors. Candidates should have a third level qualification in a business or related discipline and a minimum of two years’ relevant post-graduate work experience, ideally in an academic project administration environment. The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday, 20th August 2021 . The ESRI are following Government guidelines regarding COVID-19 and its offices are currently closed.
