Job Description. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Lead (Associate Director) within our Company Research Laboratory Information Technology Organization at Dunboyne, Ireland.  This new state-of-art facility located 20Km from Dublin will enable and advance our best work in Biologics Drug Substance manufacturing for Clinical Supply, Registration & Launch.  The candidate in this role will propose ideas and innovative solutions that will enable new organizational capabilities that help colleagues to be more productive and enable innovation. What will you do: Bring energy, knowledge, and passion to carry out the following: Provide a single point of accountability representing all IT functions including but not limited to IT Business Analysis, Application Management Services (AMS), Global Information Operations (GIO) and Lab Computing Services. Be highly collaborative with the regional and global IT groups to ensure alignment on IT portfolio, strategy, compliance, and share knowledge of learnings and activities taking part at the site. Manage a team of direct reports. Lead through influence and clear vision. Develop an IT strategy and roadmap for the new site which includes operational maintenance of systems as well strategic investments aligned to local business objectives. Prepare and continuously manage the local IT budget to meet annual profit plan targets. Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory safety, GMP and Validation requirements. Ensure all systems are designed, built and operated to full SDLC requirements. Represent the department on the plant GMP and Management Safety committees and act as lead/sponsor for regulatory audits on key systems. Manage the IT Operations support and contractual relations in line with business expectations. Influence advancement of technology in support of improved operational efficiency and effectiveness.  Assess new technologies and vendors through pilots and site visits. What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: Bachelor’s degree: 5 years of scientific or technical related job knowledge  Enterprise mindset, entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter, self-guided, hands-on person. Demonstrate strategic thinking skills and an eagerness to learn scientific processes, drug discovery and development processes, regulatory requirements as necessary to solve problems. Visionary, ability to identify unknown needs and process improvements. Record of working independently, asynchronously (across time zones) and with excellent communication skills that cross culture / geographic / organizational boundaries. Record of working in a team of multidisciplinary scientists and IT personnel and operating effectively in a matrixed environment with a customer centric attitude. Working knowledge as a business analyst in IT/Informatics with demonstrated success in leading technical evaluations, implementations, and upgrades.
