Strategic Sourcing Expert - Civils/ Quantity Surveying. I am looking for a Strategic Sourcing Expert with quantity surveying or technical related b/ground in the. Telecoms industry. You will have managed outside plant engineering & construction agreements. As a Principal Sourcing Specialist, you will: Lead cost savings through the sourcing process for large spend category areas. Drive all aspects of complex strategic sourcing process, including contract negotiations, pricing, T&Cs, researching & benchmarking data on pricing etc. Process large & varying types of data to reach conclusions. Managing Invoicing / payment issues. Contract clarification & managing disputes over contract pricing (i.e. Units / Models. Maximise purchasing power to achieve a lower cost while avoiding risk. Lead on finding low-cost & technically qualified Suppliers to provide services. Present new products, technologies & services to clients. You will ideally have: - Degree & 4 yrs. in Bus Admin., Supply Chain, Eng. Quantity Surveyor & ideally been in telcos industry & ideally a (CIPS) or (IIPMM) qualification. Exp. in Strategic Sourcing, ideally in tech areas such as Network Equipment & Infrastructure, Software Licensing, Call Centre Services, Cloud, Contracted Labour, etc. Solve complex problems so that business & financial issues result in sound decisions. Exp. in project mgt. in complex multi-project & multi-geographical environments. Ideally a PMP or Prince 2 exp. & Lean Six Sigma. Strong interpersonal & client service & analytical skills. Strong on M/S Inc. PowerPoint, Excel & Word) - MS Access a plus. Exp. in large scale FTTH / FTTC / FTTP / FTTB in dense urban env. Exp. in large scale Eng. & construction projects in dense urban envs. Working knowledge of telecoms standards including Eng. specifications, drawings & layouts. Familiarity with installation procedures, practices & standards. Great day rate on offer and this will be an ongoing contract with a lovely company. It is a mix of remote working and office eventually but working from home currently.
