A Process Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Cork based MN manufacturing client. This is a newly created role to support new and existing production lines. THE ROLE: * Determines the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for producing company products from start-up, building the product line, through satisfactory production. * Coordinate the implementation of process changes, product revisions, and new product introduction to ensure a smooth transition to the production floor, ensuring all quality and validation requirements are met. * Provide training to manufacturing associates in new and existing processes. * Maintain and create technical documentation such as SOPs and Training Instructions. * Initiate root-cause investigations, analysis and documentation of production failures. * Coordinate with various departments to execute and implement corrective and preventive actions. * Develop and implement improvements projects for production process, equipment and tools. * Lead/Participate in Kaizen activities. REQUIREMENTS: * B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical degree OR 5 years of experience in Lean Operations and Engineering. * Demonstrated troubleshooting, analytical and planning/organizing skills. * Ability to work independently and with teams. * Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills. * Excellent problem-solving skills and be able to drive through improvements.
