Category Manager - 12 Month contract. Bring your strategic sourcing skills to this blue chip company & live in one of the lovliest cities in the world… & be well rewarded. Responsibilities: Manage global &/or regional materials commodities mgt. Identify & engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, & quality) to capture commodity requirements & ensure supplier qualification & quality. Responsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy. Execution of sourcing projects including RFx, continuous improvement, consolidation, etc. Defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, & building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO. Conduct/support negotiations & supplier selection & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) reviews within commodity. Manage commodity continuity of supply - monitoring & mitigating risk inc. financial, capacity, quality, & compliance. Support region/sector NPD Procurement teams via supplier programs & strategy development RFQ's, & SRM to set & meet program QCD targets. Manage commodity including spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, & supply market analysis. Develop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, & expected benefits. Deliver commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects - supporting regional/sector. Forecasting, reporting, mitigating, & recovery of commodity inflation. Support Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR) including updated projects, metrics, strategy , & countermeasures. Qualifications: Degree in Bus, Supply Chain, Ops, Eng. & 3 to 5 years procurement sourcing exp, consulting, buyer, &/or analyst exp. Competent negotiating skills & assessing vendors. Exp. coordinating, facilitating discussions, consultation & conflict resolution skills. Professional verbal & written comms. Key Competencies & skills: Supply Chain development for components or services, Achieve optimal results: Quality, Delivery, Price & Service balanced & compliant. Project Mgt. - Review & approve teams' project plans, oversees project execution, balances projects between short & long-term focus, secures alignment with cross-functional partners. Problem Solving-Identify & anticipate potential problems, supports root cause analysis, corrective action plan & oversee plan implementation. Relationship Mgt. - Collaborative with cross-functional partners, assures regular/appropriate two-way comms flow, & build relationship with industry peers & suppliers.
