Description

Renewable Energy Strategy & Reg. Affairs Manager. This long established organisation requires a Strategic & Regulatory Affairs Manager for their Renewable Energy Business Unit (REBU) as they move towards contributing to a net-zero electric power system in Ireland. You will: - Lead & monitor risk mgt. process & develop the strategy review process. Develop & manage annual strategy review with senior mgmt.; liaising with regulatory & strategic s/holders to create strategy & leadership in achieving goals & ensure full regulatory compliance in Energy Markets. Review & collate wider market development at National & EU level influencing strategy. Ensure full compliance with statutory & regulatory approvals, authorisations, permissions & licences in Irish electricity market whilst maximising commercial prospects. Seek wider funding for R&D projects across emerging tech. to grow Renewable Energy asset base. Lead & champion risk process for (REBU) ensuring Senior Mgt. understand key risks & controls in place. Liaise with Group Risk Mgr. ensure compliance with corporate Risk Mgt. policy; Manage, develop & advance relationships with regulatory & commercial s/holders Inc. DETI, Eirgrid, DECC, EPA, DEFRA, OFGEM, WEI, EAI, IBEC, JBC, EurElectric etc. Prep & submit papers & formal responses to consultation & play lead role with trade associations i.e. WEI & EAI. Regularly assess & report on market trends & regional energy markets. Track, assess & influence, evolution of electricity market & wider decarbonisation agenda. Contribute to dev. of portfolio of energy generating units & as part of commercial team contribute to maximising revenues. Represent (REBU) & company to external regulatory s/holders in dev. of Renewable Energy strategy. Ensure (REBU) involved in & influences formulation of reg. processes & controls to help renewable energy deployment in Irish market. Lead the response to key policy & regulatory consultations. You will have: BSc Degree in engineering or related technical discipline. Min 7 years' experience in a similar role. Significant experience in the Energy sector & regulation. Knowledge of National & EU regulatory frameworks in Energy. sector. Understand technical & commercials of renewable Energy business. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role.
