The European Union has launched an open call for expressions of interest for Contract Staff with experience in political affairs / EU policies (grades FG III and FG IV). Recruited staff at grade FG III will mainly work on: • Contributing to the follow-up of policy developments. • Contributing to reports, briefing and speaking notes. • Contributing to the preparation of and following up on meetings. • Representing the institution at events/meetings under the supervision of an official. Recruited staff at grade FG IV will mainly work on: • Monitoring, analysing and reporting on the political, economic and social situation in a given country. • Formulating and contributing to the definition of EU political objectives, priorities and policies. • Coordinating and contributing to the preparation of high-level visits and missions, etc. • Drafting and following-up on policy papers, legal acts, speeches, etc. • Representing the institution at events/meetings under the supervision of an official.
