Key Accountabilities: 1. Responsible for leading the Strategic Insight and Planning Division; creating, executing, and measuring the success of a comprehensive insights, brand development & innovation and client capability programme of support to clients that will enhance Bord Bia’s position within the industry. 2. Based on focused leading-edge research; inform, internal, client and customer focused campaigns targeted at specific industry challenges e.g. Brexit. When required act as Bord Bia’s representative with the media. 3. Manage the Bord Bia Strategy development process; co-ordinating and implementing input from Bord Bia’s boards as well as internal and external stakeholder involvement. Reinforced by macro-economic research this process will culminate in an organisational Statement of Strategy supported by relevant key performance indicators. Co-ordinate and manage reporting of KPI’s to Board and DAFM. 4. Lead the development of Bord Bia’s insight-based innovation agenda linking industry to the research community. Position Bord Bia as a bridge between the market and our industry through deep insights around future consumer behaviour and current needs of trade customers. 5. Build our client capability model underpinned by professionally designed and future focused client services & supports. In close collaboration with the Director of Sectors and Global Business Development; develop a range of capability supports modules that deliver on our clients’ annual plans. 6. Champion the role of learning plans and knowledge management through our industry library resources. Ensure best practise in data literacy is embedded into how our client companies, stakeholders and staff leverage Bord Bia’s investment in market research and insight. 7. Drive the role of branding with client companies through the delivery of Bord Bia’s Brand Forum and related client supports and services. 8. Manage a team of insight, innovation, branding and knowledge management specialists. Ensure delivery of research, innovation and branding projects to a world-class standard by constantly pushing the boundaries on latest design thinking, innovation best practise and insight-led methodologies.
