Our Client is seeking a Senior QS to become his “Right hand man” to provide experience, structure and stability in growing a team of Quantity Surveyors as well as carrying out a Senior QSs Role. They will have people management skills that will compliment their Skillset as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This is quite a broad role and will suit someone who is eager to develop their level of seniority further. The option of an an unspecified work from home day may be accommodated. Job Brief:  Use of BIM software, Quality software (Eida) an advantage, but not essential. Proficient in Excel essential. High percentage of time will be site based on sites, some office based. Proven commercial acumen. Input to estimating new projects. Cashflow forecast. Prepare payment schedules and issuing payment applications. Sub-contractor certification. Develop project budget. Commercial input to appointing sub-contractors and major plant to ensure maximum value achieved. Monthly cost report including costs, committed costs, and forecasting cost to go. Tracking labour productivity of direct labour. Preparing variations. Ability to impact cost whilst maintaining relationship with project team and client.   Requirements 5 years’ experience in Electrical / Mechanical / Process / HVAC systems. Process mechanical (pharma or food process) experience an advantage over commercial mechanical (office fit out, hotels, large scale residential. BSc in Quantity Surveying or construction related subject.# Contract law / administration an advantage, but not essential. Understanding of drawings, scope and cost drivers within a construction project. Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and logical skills. Understanding of construction methodology and programme. A positive attitude and an ability to grow and develop role. No Ego allowed. Interested?
