Job Description. Our Drug Product Expansion Project at Carlow has an immediate need for a Senior Operations Specialist. The person will come from a regulated manufacturing background and have held roles in a technical or continuous improvement capacity. You will be actively supported and encouraged to continue your professional development.  Reporting to the Associate Director of Operations, you will join and be supported by the extended leadership team on the start-up expansion project. Reaching into an existing network on site as well as the wider extensive network within Manufacturing Operations, this role will initially be responsible for enabling stability and Operational Readiness in all unit operations. You will then move on to develop and facilitate a program that drives improvement in all areas associated with the end to end value stream, in both Syringe and Vial manufacturing. What you will do:  Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following: Through use of Production System (MPS) tools, develop and facilitate a program that prepares for IPT commercial readiness, ramp-up and improvement in the following areas: Downtime monitoring, Operation Performance and Action follow up. Turnarounds between batches. Versatility chart and cross functional training competency. Simplification of Critical process steps. Batch Release. Troubleshoot complex drug product Formulation / Fill / Finish problems and use extensive experience to adopt or propose robust solutions. Delivery of small to medium sized projects to enable improvements of key performance indicators within the facility. Responsible for Operational Readiness for all primary aseptic manufacturing areas. Actively network internally and externally with a view of promoting Carlow as a site that’s viewed and recognised as a leader in Aseptic manufacturing of Vaccines and Biologics. Ensure provision of operational support for key projects in facility commercialisation, including but not limited to installation of new filling line, deployment of Quality Risk Management processes and Quality/Operational Systems improvement. Facilitate / Lead Quality Risk Management (QRM) introduction, ramp up and workshop participation for all IPT processes Senior Operations Specialist for the Carlow. Deliver a strategy in line with current best practices to ensure best in class Aseptic Excellence throughout Form / Fill Finish activities. What skills you will need: In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have: Degree qualification or equivalent (Science, Engineering, Technical) most desirable. 10 years’ experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment with proven ability to drive projects and deliver results. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues and with external customers in a team orientated manner. Strong team skills, including ability to coach/develop work teams. Strong influencing skills. Demonstrated experience in delivering continuous improvement projects. Aseptic manufacturing with extensive technical expertise in Aseptic Techniques and Form / Fill Finish is a distinct advantage.
