Purchasing Manager. In partnership with its client Kenny-Whelan & Associates is currently seeking a Purchasing Manager for the Dublin West area. Profile of Role: The successful candidate will develop and implement global procurement strategies that minimize total cost of ownership (TCO) while prioritizing stakeholder service and support. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for all Packaging Components for the Dublin Packaging facility. Manage MRP and purchasing data management in SAP on a daily / weekly basis and ensure all requirements are procured on time to meet production schedules. Work closely with Operations and ensure adequate safety stock is in place on site at all times. and also manage material expiry of secondary packaging components. Follow market trends for various categories of spend. Use this knowledge to support internal customers. Lead cross-functional team through sourcing and procurement processes. Proactively manage supplier issues and lead issue resolution with Packaging Suppliers as they arise to ensure no impact to production, for example Invoice queries and Quality issues.     Support the Negotiation with suppliers on financial terms & conditions, risk management, etc.  Identify sources of supply and develop strong relationships with suppliers. Assist internal clients to develop and enforce compliance to supplier Service Level Agreements - manage and measure supplier performance. Work with internal customers to ensure there is a robust Supplier Management Process in place. Coordinate between Artwork team and Suppliers to ensure new colour standards are approved for New Product Launches. Work with clinical team for Stock transfer of clinical materials to Dublin. Work with Financial Planning & Analysis team as well as business unit subject matter Specialists to gather and assess budget forecasts. Ensure timelines are adhered to support NPI’s for Finished Product in new countries.   EDUCATION:   Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent. Excellent written and oral English.     SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:   3 - 5 years’ experience in diverse Purchasing areas preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead the implementation of Strategic Sourcing projects. Procurement and Strategic Sourcing experience in a pharmaceutical/manufacturing environment and Distribution operation highly desirable.   All applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.
