MYM Recruitment are delighted to be working with our client who is indigenous to Donegal. They are a family owned business who have been in operation for over 50 years. They are an integral part of the local community and one of the main employers in the area. They have been making and continue to make original food produce since the founding of the Company. Due to a current surge in demand they are currently recruiting for Payroll Officer to join their innovative team. Key Responsibilities. Collate and monitor employee hours and amendments on a weekly basis and input into payroll software. Finalise weekly payroll and prepare reports for authorisation by Accountant; process BACS payments/payslips for all employees. Process all new starters and leavers on the payroll system as required. Optimise use of time-recording and Sage system for the benefit of the Company and employees. New Starts – contact new starts, prepare letter of offer, check references and organise all information required (bank, uniform details etc) for input onto payroll system. Prepare and analyse weekly reports: on absence, holidays taken/remaining, length of service, recorded staff issues, new starts/leavers, training etc as required to ensure effective management of staff. Any other payroll or HR duties as required by the business. Previous experience within a large and busy payroll function. High level of ability on excel & relevant payroll software experience. Essential criteria: Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in a busy office administration / accounts role. Payroll experience of 100+ employees. Highly IT literate – Sage and MS Office including Word and Excel. Excellent organisation and office administration skills. Driving Licence. Desirable Criteria: Working knowledge of SAGE payroll. IPASS qualification. Experience of time/attendance systems and generating reports. Payroll experience within a manufacturing environment.
