Exciting new opportunity for a Senior Health and Safety Advisor in County Louth. Our client is recruiting for a Sr EHS to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must be extremely motivated and be willing to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with good knowledge of health and safety operating systems and legislation. This role will support setting company policies, translate those policies into working processes and ensure all legislative, corporate and industry requirements are met. A generous package will be made available for the most suitable candidate depending upon experience. THE ROLE: * Managing Health and Safety daily for our client and its sub-contractors. * Ensure all Health and Safety safe operating procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and reviewed, updated and communicated to all employees. * Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and activities taking place. * Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and activities taking place. * Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, and daily/ weekly inspections are being carried out. * Conduct risk assessments, review and update existing risk assessments. * Support any investigations into near misses, accidents, identify root causes and implement changes to prevent reoccurrences. * Updating of H & S documents. REQUIREMENTS: * Occupational Health and Safety Degree or similar. * 4 years EHS officer experience with good knowledge of H&S Legislation. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Good IT skills including Microsoft office. * Experience in the manufacturing/Construction industry - previous experience with Structural Steel would be a distinct advantage. * Experience of carrying out audits highly desirable.
