Description

Maintenance Electrician - County Kerry. This position encompasses maintenance and repairs for all production machines and ancillary equipment in the factory to ensure the smooth running of production. The successful candidate will be a qualified Electrician and should be a good technical all-rounder. Previous work experience should not be confined to electrical; the individual should have worked in a maintenance position in a manufacturing environment and had exposure to pneumatics, hydraulics etc. Experience of injection moulding machines would also be a distinct advantage. You will work closely with production, quality and administration departments to ensure that the company objectives relating to production output, quality and safety are achieved. Core duties will include the following: Organising and planning maintenance to ensure the minimum disruption to production. Implementing and amending maintenance and repair programmes for all production machines and ancillary equipment. Responsible for installation and set up of new production machines and equipment. Cost and Efficiency: Review existing systems, identify systems to upgrade or automate - make recommendations to management, Where approval granted – implement new systems in a cost effective manner. Responsible for the stocking of equipment spares and working closely with the administration department in the ordering of spares. Ensure process optimisation and smooth running of production machinery on all shifts. Troubleshooting, fault-finding and providing technical training and support to the production team. Comply with all legislation, Health and Safety legislation – Play a leading role in creating an incident and injury free work environment. Responsible for ensuring that work methods are safe, and that machinery and ancillary equipment are in safe working order. Comply with company policy and procedures and ensure that all cleanroom and hygiene regulations are adhered to at all times. Keep management informed of issues and concerns in a timely basis. You should have a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritise work in a very busy environment. Organisational, planning and effective communication are necessary skills to fulfil this role. A self-starter with initiative is required. Typical hours of work will be 8.00 am to 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Competitive salary and benefits on offer commensurate with experience.
