My client, one of Ireland's top laboratory suppliers is currently recruiting for a Junior Technical Support Specialist to join their team. This is a permanent position based on site in South Dublin. This role reports directly into the Service Delivery Manager. Main Responsibilities. Repair and Calibration of back to base instruments (e.g. Pipettes, pH meters, Oxygen meters, Flowmeters, syringe drive pumps. Responsible for the companys test equipment periodic calibrations and upkeep of calibration kits/cases. Updating Prospect database for incoming and completed jobs. Quality Testing of instruments prior to shipping to customer sites. Providing Technical support to customers and to the companys Sales/Service department personnel. Maintaining control of service stock. Maintaining and implementing procedures for new and existing equipment. To act as a responsible representative of the company and maintain at all times the best interest of the company, its employees, customers and suppliers. To maintain the service support for certain customers or equipment range. To promote, sell and support activities of the company effectively, you will be expected to build up (in a reasonable time span) a complete understanding of the product range. In addition to learning the technical details relating to the products, you must also become familiar with the applications to which they can most effectively be applied. You will be part of the Service Team and so will be required to support the other members of the team. Carrying out the service and support duties will require a planned and organised approach, which will allow you to make efficient use of your time. Qualifications & Requirements. Education to a National Certificate/Diploma Level 6 or 7 or higher in Science/ Pharmaceutical Science or similar. Up to 1 year experience in GMP/ GLP is preferred.
