Retail Shop Manager Meath. We here in Excel Recruitment are in partnership with a new client who is currently in the process of opening a new store on a greenfield site. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong convenience retailer looking to be part of an exciting new start-up and perhaps improve your commute and salary. As the new Store Manager, you will work collaboratively with the General Manager of the food court site, developing plans for your shop, implementing systems, layout, standards and hiring and training new staff for the store. Our client is offering a competitive salary for the right manager. Responsibilities of the Retail Store Manager: Responsible for daily operations of the convenience store, planning the layout, setting standards and looking at opportunities to grow sales. Managing your new team, work with HR department in regards to the job descriptions and new roles within the business. Managing the performance of the store, working closely with the business directors and General Manager regarding business objectives. Training and developing of all staff in the store. Building new customer relationships, increasing footfall and grow your customer base. Requirements for this Retail Store Manager: Previous experience of managing a busy food supermarket or convenience store, forecourt experience is an advantage but not essential. Must have a strong work ethic and have the ability to manage under pressure. You should be highly motivated and energetic, passionate about retailing. Good business acumen understanding of margins, budgets etc. You must have excellent experience managing a team of staff and Supervisors.
