Description

Associate Director -IT Manufacturing, Production & Capability Manager: Cork. Core Purpose: In this role you will be responsible for business capabilities in the manufacturing and product packaging domain. You will set the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for manufacturing and packaging product lines. You will support the development of the business vision and capability map for the commercial manufacturing business and then convey this “product” vision to the larger IT organisation. You will work with the business on its strategic requirements and be responsible for the delivery and sustainment of the end to end customer experience. Core Responsibilities: Business and technology planning with leaders in Manufacturing and IT. Develop business vision, strategy, and roadmap together with Product Managers and business stakeholders. Direct the design and maintenance of a best-practice based new business capability strategy and supporting processes that will deliver target success rates, including internal process excellence and external market outcomes. Oversee the development and management of the product life cycle plans for products in the manufacturing production platform. Accountable for leading end to end business process improvement and driving solution adoption for manufacturing and packaging product areas. Build and maintain relationships in IT and Commercial Manufacturing; promoting communications and collaboration. Identify and execute cross-functional value creation and process improvement opportunities with key internal business partners. Review emerging technologies with the perspective of potential application in resolving a business problem. Oversee staff that deliver for the Manufacturing Production value stream. Participate in activities as part of site IT leadership. Lead the coaching of direct and indirect reports. Work closely with PMO to oversee the development, delivery and implement action plans to meet business objectives in line with International and Global business plans, IT standards and budgets. Work closely with Data Management and Analytics team ensure correct prioritisation of Analytics demand; input into development of commercial manufacturing strategic direction aligned with technology standards. Interested applicants should have: In-depth or expert knowledge of new product development and commercialisation processes and product portfolio management strategies. Experience in a GxP-regulated environment is required. Proven ability to develop analysis-based strategic plans develop successful products. Expert abstract analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to build relationships and trust, establishing alignment and engagement, even in politically charged corporate environments. Have the ability to take actions that directly or indirectly influence others in ways that generate buy-in, gain trust, create stakeholder alignment and motivate action. Be decision-oriented, seeking to make brisk but informed decisions and accept attendant risks. Have business acumen, understanding why things must get done as much as when and how. Proven negotiation, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills. Proven ability to analyse and design complex business processes. Expert communication skills, including verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Ability to allocate and balance team and business resources to achieve optimal business results. Sound expertise in IT resource management, job positions, career paths, recruiting, and compensation. Proven experience in managing program budgets and IT cost centres in large corporate environments to ensure corporate targets are met. IT procurement & IT financial operations experience ensuring vendor contracts support business and corporate needs. Proven experience with leading teams on the implementation and enhancements of manufacturing technology specific platforms. Track record as an innovator and agent leading organisations and people through change. Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills. Solid understanding of IT governance as well as PMO and portfolio, program & project management. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation and diplomacy skills. Self-motivated, proactive, independent and responsive. Core requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business or a related field, with at least 9 years' relevant experience within the information technology field or an industry with reliance on technical expertise. Ideally an advanced degree e.g. Master of Business Administration. Experience with IT organisational design. Membership of professional organisations, such as trade or user groups, and a pattern of regular attendance at relevant industry and practitioner conferences to stay current with best practices and advancing knowledge of new product development practices and technologies.
