Our client, are looking for a permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Waterford. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for setting up the manufacturing process under the direction of the Engineering Manager.  Responsibilities: Provides technical support in identifying continuous improvements to existing manufacturing operations and implementing new technologies including: development of processes, researching current and emerging technologies and evaluating process quality, cost, capacity and capability alternatives. Supports the needs of manufacturing areas in terms of meeting the requirements for quality standards and associated documentation. Develops Validation protocols and associated validation reports. Application of standard engineering methods while carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks, project management,statistical analysis and presentation of data and technical writing. Provides technical support for equipment design and development, testing of materials, preparation of specifications and manufacturing procedures, process studies, investigations, root cause analysis, problem solving and report preparation. Designs tools and develops fixtures for manufacturing and has the ability to effectively communicate requirements  and implement ideas with designers. Acts as a liaison to vendors with regard to tools & fixtures, and their manufacture. Develops and implements manufacturing and inspection procedures. Manufacturing Engineer Requirements: A Degree level qualification in an Engineering discipline. Experience of managing external stakeholders including suppliers and contractors. 3+ years experience as a Manufacturing / Process Engineer. Experience of executing a wide variety of project types & complexity. Validation experience is highly desirable.  Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality tools (e.g.QMS,Kaizen, PFMEA, Time-Study, VSM, OEE, Problem Solving Tools, ERP. Knowledge of high-accuracy mechanical system design and manufacturing. Knowledge of safety management tools such as risk assessments. Proficient in use of engineering and productivity tools e.g. AutoCAD / Solidworks, MS Project.
