FRS Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with the Irish Red Cross in the recruitment of a Procurement and logistics to join their organisation based in their headquarters in Dublin City Centre. As we all know Supply Chain and Logistics is more vital than ever. The Irish Red Cross have been working to help the people of Ireland for over 80 years and are now in need of a Procurement and Logistics Coordinator to assist in working with their Migration Programme to support vulnerable families residing in Ireland. In this varied and multi-faceted role you will be responsible for: Procurement of materials as identified by community programme staff. Liaise with suppliers, negotiate pricing for goods. Manage tendering process for new suppliers and for renegotiation with current suppliers. Ensure that all procured materials are received in a timely manner to fall within Irish Red Cross KPI's. Coordinate the logistics process to ensure all goods are being delivered and tracked through the system. Ensuring all goods and orders are input on the system and accurate. Liaising with several different departments within the agency, Community Welfare Officers, the Department of Social Protection along with several other agencies as needed for community Support Programmes. Liaise and coordinate with the relevant parties regarding delivery of supplies and keeping all informed of any changed in a timely manner. Responsible for reports to both the IRC, DSP and any other necessary agencies on a weekly or monthly basis as needed. Responsible for the running cost budget adhering to IRC procedures. Support any necessary design or revision of programme budget as needed. Work with a network of IRC staff and volunteers to ensure that all goods are procured and delivered to the customers and agencies as needed for the Community Support Programmes. You will ideally have the following skills and experience: At least 5 years experience in procurement and logistics management. If you have previous experience with a Humanitarian Organisation this would be desired but not essential. Relevant degree or certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain etc. Strong experience liaising with multiple stakeholders/clients/agencies etc. Ability to motivate, lead and work effectively to achieve operational objectives. Strong procurement knowledge particularly with medium to large scale supply chain management. Budget creation and planning experience. Strong IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc. Excellent reporting skills. Good attention to detail with a high level of organisation. Skilled in creating and maintaining relationships with clients and outside organisations. Sensitive to diversity and other ethnicities. The desired candidate will have ideally worked within community organisations before (such as the Department of Social Protection or local City or County Councils) or with a Humanitarian Organisation prior.
