Cpl Healthcare is delighted to have partnered with VHI Health & Wellbeing to recruit for General Practitioners. VHI Health and Wellbeing already provides an urgent care service in Dublin and Cork, medical and live-well screening services, a consultant led hospital at home service and Occupational Health and Midwife at Home services to Corporate clients. The company has exciting plans to expand in Limerick and Dublin in 2020. These facilities will bring together urgent, ambulatory care services and medical screening and introduce a new model of care incorporating health promotion, prevention and chronic disease management where the patient and practitioner are partners in the healing process. The General Practitioners' reporting relationship and accountability for the discharge of his/her contract is to the Clinical Lead for the facility. A bespoke education and development programme in urgent care and integrative medicine will be provided, accredited by national or international institutes. All successful applicants are required to undertake an urgent care fellowship. The Urgent Care Fellowship Programme will be arranged through the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. This will be fully funded by the VHI and the GP will be provided with time to complete the various requirements of the Fellowship. This will be a first of its kind of Fellowship in Ireland. You will assume a full clinical role in the investigation and clinical management of patients presenting with minor injuries and illnesses as well as for medical screening and intervention. Delivery of patient care, clinical supervision of ANP and nursing colleagues, sharing administrative duties and contributing to educational programmes are all essential elements of the role. To be considered eligible you: - Must be on the Specialist Register with the Irish Medical Council for General. Practice, or eligible for same. - Must have a minimum of 4 years post graduate experience in clinical practice, including significant experience in a general practice and community setting. - Must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in Urgent Care and Integrative. Medicine. - Be able to work across a 7-day roster. - Ideally have experience in urgent care / minor trauma / A&E/ paediatrics.
