Engineer Grade II (Civil) Flood Relief and Risk Management Division. The Office of Public Works (OPW) is the lead agency in co-ordinating flood risk management policy and the flood relief capital programme in Ireland. The OPW now has vacancies for Civil Engineering staff at Engineer Grade II level to join our team and support the flood risk management programme in Trim, Co. Meath and Dublin. Reporting to Civil Engineer Grade I, Civil Engineers Grade II are responsible for Managing, advising on and undertaking flood and coastal risk management related projects and work programmes, Leading and directing the work of a project team, Engaging with internal and external stakeholders and building relationships to promote effective service delivery by the OPW, and Advising on and promoting best practice in flood risk management in Ireland. Successful candidates must hold a minimum Level 8 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications in Civil Engineering which is accredited by Engineers Ireland, and have a minimum of four (4) years relevant post qualification experience.
