Technical Support Engineer. Our client a well-established international software company. Their security products are used by thousands of customers across the globe in what is one of the hottest sectors in IT, Security are seeking to hire a Technical Support Engineer to provide technical support for their products and to maintain the high-level of customer satisfaction expected for their award-winning virtual appliance gateways. Job Requirements. Be fanatical about providing excellent customer support. Have a good understanding of TCP/IP and protocols, specifically SMTP, DNS and HTTP/S. Be able to conduct research into technical issues and other products. Have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Be able to document procedures and processes to create knowledge-based articles. Be able to relocate or commute to Galway. Available for 24/7 shift coverage. Knowledge of the following will be a distinct advantage, but are not required: Virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, etc. Cloud computing (AWS.
