I am assisting my client find an experienced Maintenance Manager to join their team in Limerick. My client is a well known and highly respected industrial plant. They have a history of continuous improvement and innovation and are now considered to be a world leader in the industry. They will facilitate and support you in utilising and developing your skills, knowledge and experience. As the Process or Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for providing a high quality maintenance and technical support service to process operations. You will be required to assist in managing a busy production department as part of a multi-disciplined Staff Team as well as overseeing the day-to-day activities of either: A Maintenance team of Fitters and Instrument Electrical craft in ensuring all maintenance work is carried out in an effective and efficient manner. A team of shift operators in ensuring the effective and efficient operations of the of a busy production department. Ensuring that all Local equipment is properly maintained and in good working order, you'll aim to improve the performance of manufacturing equipment and its reliability throughout the site. Providing the Manufacturing Department with the highest levels of support, you'll analyse plant downtime levels and implement effective strategies to increase uptime. You'll implement best practice systems and Lean tools to improve the performance of the Process or Maintenance Team, as well as ensuring that your team are fully trained on the latest equipment and technologies. We are a team-based environment where employees have a great deal of autonomy. This role therefore requires a high level of communication and facilitation skills. As the Process or Maintenance Manager, you must have strong interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills, as well as an analytical, decisive approach. Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have: At least five years' supervisory experience gained within heavy industry. Third level qualification to a minimum of Diploma in a Technical, Process or Management of other related discipline OR a time served electrical, mechanical or instrumentation apprenticeship or a degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
