Clerical Officer. The post-holder will initially report to the Corporate Services Manager or her nominee. The key tasks for the post-holder will be to assist and support the National Disability Authority through the provision of clerical and administrative services. For the successful implementation of this role, there are a number of key relationships to be fostered and developed. These will be with colleagues and personnel from a range of other Departments, agencies and contracted services. A high degree of flexibility and customer service will be expected as well as strong organisational and administrative skills. As a member of the NDA team, the post holder will be expected to actively contribute to and participate in the overall development of the NDA and to promote its policies at all times. The National Disability Authority (NDA), is the independent statutory body that provides information and evidence informed advice to the Government on policy and practice relevant to the lives of persons with disabilities. Our function includes research, developing and collaborating on the development of relevant statistics; assisting in the development of standards, codes and monitoring the employment of persons with disabilities in the public service. We work through our Centre for Excellence in Universal Design to promote the universal design of the built environment, products, services and information and communication technologies so that they can be easily accessed and used by everyone, including persons with disabilities.
