Clerical Officer – Finance, Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland. The contract is a permanent, full-time, subject to successful completion of a 6 month probationary period. The Position. The Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is the regulatory authority for nurses and midwives in Ireland. The role of NMBI is the protection of the public in its dealing with nurses and midwives and the integrity of the practice of nursing and midwifery through the promotion of high standards of professional education, training and practice and professional conduct among nurses and midwives. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Corporate Services this role is responsible for supporting the finance functions within NMBI by processes all incoming fees. Furthermore, this role includes following up with applicants regarding declined Visa cards via email or phone, processing incoming cash/cheques/bank draft payments, preparing cash / cheques / postal order lodgements and completing cash lodgements and back up paperwork to lodgements. The ideal candidate will develop a good understanding of procedures and activities within a statutory framework and have a good knowledge and understanding of the Nurses and Midwives Act 2011 and the role of the NMBI, its functions and the context in which it operates. Grade III: €23,999 - €38,320* *All new entrants to the public service will be required to commence employment at the minimum point of the scale.
