We are working with our client to help recruit an experienced General Manager. This position is for someone with all-round customer service skills and industry knowledge that will ensure the smooth running of the hotel, driving continuous improvement to achieve optimal guest satisfaction and a good working environment, whilst meeting financial expectations. Responsibilities: Ensure the highest standards of service and quality are delivered consistently to our guests; Attend meetings as required; Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to drive innovative ideas for Food & Beverage; Work in conjunction with the Sales & Marketing team and F&B outlet managers to achieve budgeted revenue; Ensure that the purchasing and accountancy procedures are adhered to; Ensure stock takes are carried out and any deviances are acted upon in a timely manner; Ensure weekly departmental payroll forecasting is completed and that all rosters are in line with budget; Ensure all departmental costs are in line with budget; Ensure that all F&B outlets are well organised daily for expected business levels; Assist with carrying out regular HACCP, Fire, Health & Safety Audits; Assist in the development and implementation of the Capital expenditure; Ensure that all departments are familiar with cash handling, credit policy and to ensure all controls are in place and adhered to; Ensure there is management presence in all departments at all times; Ensure a consistently high level of security is well maintained throughout the Hotel; Ensure guest feedback is acted upon in a timely manner ensuring the relevant people are informed and that all necessary action is taken to prevent re occurrences; Drive business results through revenue growth and cost savings efficiency. What we are looking for: Have a least 3 years’ experience within the hotel industry in a similar role; Be GP % and budget focused; Have 2-3 years of hands on food and beverage experience. Someone who can lead from the front with hands on approach; Self-motivated and sets a positive example for employees by their attitude and performance; Demonstrates high levels of professionalism; Encourages the team towards Hotel and individual objectives and aims; Communicates in a structured and effective manner with their team; Builds and sustains effective relationships with employees and customers; Motivates, inspires and empowers others to improved performance; Strong presence, great personality, hugely service orientated with exceptional management credentials; If interested, what you need to do next: To register your interest in this position in confidence please submit a copy of your full up-to-date C.V. with a cover email/letter highlighting your suitability for the position.
