The National Council for Special Education was established to improve the delivery of education services to persons with special educational needs arising from disabilities. Special Educational Needs Organisers are responsible for the identification, delivery and co-ordination of education services to children with disabilities. The successful candidate will have a designated district and will work as part of a regional team. Applicants must hold a qualification at minimum Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications relevant to the provision of services to students/children with disabilities. In addition, they must have experience in the education of children with special educational needs or the delivery of other services to people with disabilities, together with excellent operational, organisational and problem-solving skills. A panel will be formed from which vacancies may be filled in various locations around the country.
