Production /General Operatives, Job Ref. JO3541. South/Southwest Donegal. Temporary, immediate start. €9.80 per hour plus shift allowance on Sundays. Hours (Shift , Full-Time , 24/7 operation, 44 hours per week. Our client is indigenous to Donegal, and a family owned business, who have been in operation for over 40 years. They are an integral part of the local community and one of the main employers in the local area. They have been making and continue to make original food produce since the founding of the Company. They are a very customer and product focused business with a flat management structure and a Hands-On approach from CEO to shop floor, as a result, all members of the team have a deep understanding of the business and capabilities. This allows a great deal of flexibility and fast decision making which has led to their “Nothing is impossible” attitude. They are currently recruiting for General Operatives to join their innovative team. These roles are temporary, and a definite duration cannot be guaranteed. What you will be doing: Include working in a factory environment in various depts. such as packing, hygiene, etc. and (possibly) on machines in a food production line whilst adhering to food safety standards; Following Good Manufacturing Practices and ensure production areas are maintained and meet the required standards of cleanliness; Adhering to food safety standards; Adhere to clean as you go Hygiene policy. What we are looking for: Suitable candidates will ideally come with some experience in a production or a food production setting and will be fluent in English both written and spoken; The working hours will be varied and will be mostly night shifts, so we are seeking candidates who are flexible and who will work alternate shifts when required; These are urgent roles and will be filled on a first come first served basis; As the location of this client is quite remote and the hours are shift basis you should have access to your own vehicle; Previous experience of working a lean manufacturing environment and demonstrated problem solving ability is an advantage; Must be flexible in terms of shifts and overtime hours.
