Key responsibilities. Responsible for the health and safety of their team and play a leading role in the Health & Safety culture within the plant. Responsible for productivity rates and product quality in a food manufacturing plant. Responsible for a team of employees operating on a shift basis. Deliver on Production Targets on Productivity/Losses/Yields. Plant Performance & Employee performance management & development. Completion of daily/weekly/monthly production planning and scheduling. Working in conjunction with fellow Supervisors and Production Manager(s) in order to drive and improve plant efficiencies. Communicate, implement and monitor adherence to; Company policies, procedures and standards, including HR, Technical and Health & Safety, ensuring that the dept. operates within legal and best management guidelines. Conduct incident investigations and risk assessments as required within the dept. and necessary take corrective action. Monitor overall progress of daily plan across the plant and take corrective action to optimize the efficient running of the plant. Day to day operational, commercial and cost awareness. Qualifications and skills. Experience Required: A 3rd Level qualification in a Production Management, Engineering, Science field or a related discipline. A minimum of 3 years of production supervisory experience or similar in a manufacturing environment. Experience in the Dairy industry & Spray drying is desirable. Familiarity in SAP is desirable. Previous Food manufacturing experience is desirable. Ability to manage, train and develop employees. Ability to multi-task and work across with other functions. Possess proven written and verbal communication skills. Familiarity with GMP, quality, and hygiene standards for food manufacturing. CplCorkNov2019.
