Production Operator- Citywest. This is a shift-based role, 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm Monday to Friday, rotating. Key tasks and responsibilities: Involvement in all aspects of manufacturing including; • Responsible for the production and quality of flux cored wires. • Ensuring all quality policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis. • Comply with all safety regulations and standards on site. • Resolving issues through fault-finding during the production process. • Carry out required checks, adjustments and perform tool changes. • Maintaining a high-quality manufacturing environment. • Work closely with other departments to ensure maximum output and utilisation of resources. • Support New Product Manufacturing and work with R&D departments. • To follow and facilitate the company's 5S program. Interested applicants should be: • Must be a motivated, enthusiastic individual with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team. • Must be vigilant and adept at problem solving. • Must be a pro-active self-starter, with excellent attention to detail. • Exceptional organisational skills and numerical skills. • Must be competent in using manual and power tooling such as: o Spanners, Allen keys, and hammers. o Torque wrenches, sockets and leavers. o Impact wrenches, drills and grinders. • Must be competent in using measuring equipment such as: o Micrometers. o Vernier calipers. o Feeler gauge. • Must have at least 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment, ideally in metal fabrication or similar related industry. • Must be educated to a minimum of Certificate Level, ideally with a high mechanical-related discipline such as: o Metal Fabrication. o Motor Mechanics. o Toolmaking. o Plumbing. • Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages (Excel, Word, Outlook.
