Bus escort required to accompany pupils on school transport from their homes to school in Kilnamanagh, D24. Pickup point at the school 7.30am (morning) and 3pm (afternoon). There is also a school run leaving at 8.30am (morning) and 3pm (afternoon)Escorts must be available in both morning and afternoon and require their own transport to pickup point. Escorts are responsible for helping the child to board/alight the bus, ensuring safety on the bus; ensuring seatbelts etc. are used and must look after the children's well-being to/from school. Pupils attending this school all have a diagnosis of ASD and complex needs. Experience working with children with Autism is essential. The ideal candidate should also have good communication skills and the ability to use their own initiative. Escorts may have to contact parents for example if the bus is delayed in traffic. Escorts will have a close working relationship with drivers, parents and school staff. Role is subject to Garda vetting. Rate of pay €13.075 per hour, 4 hours per day/ 2 hours per day. Escorts are not paid during school holidays (Summer, Easter, Halloween, Christmas etc.) 8% Holiday Pay is paid at Christmas, Summer and Easter.
