Description

Health & Safety Manager. I am seeking an experienced Property, Health & Safety Manager who will be reporting into the Legal department. You will deliver Property Safety stds to reduce accidents & provide a safe place for retail customers & employees. You will balance great customer service, engage teams & colleagues with the needs of business & managing the property safety stds. You will : - Be Innovative & drive improvements in property safety stds (Fire, Petroleum, construction & maintenance) for the ROI stores, shopping centres & distribution, ensuring guidance & support to make the business a safe place to work. Ensure there is a design validation process in place to ensure our systems are compliant with law & guidance. Provide guidance & support to Property teams, external contractors & suppliers regarding the safe installation of design stds in relation to all development & refurbishment projects. Ensure that for all new properties there is a robust procedure in place for handover, testing, certificating & documenting storage of property safety systems from the property dept to Retail, including providing relevant training. Provide expert advice in relation to obligations regarding maintenance & inspection routines for Fire safety systems, statutory inspections & PPM routines. Fulfil role of Project Supervisor for Design Stage, inc. prep of Pre-construction plans & H.S.A notification for relevant projects in accordance with construction legislation. Ensure that risk assessments are in place & reviewed for each property. Communicate technical & legal requirements in a simple & engaging way. Follow Business Code of Conduct & acting with integrity & due diligence. EXPERIENCE. Degree or equivalent in H&S. Post grad qualification in Fire safety engineering. Member level accreditation of appropriate professional body. CIF/IOSH PSDP qualification. Exp managing in the construction, petroleum or retail environments. Policy development & implementation.
