Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting temporary chefs of all levels for a variety of clients based across Dublin including: 4/5 star hotels, Rosette and Michelin standard restaurants, gastro pubs, sporting venues, events and contract caterers. Our clients are well known in the market to be some of the best quality operations within the hospitality field and immediate work is available for the right chefs. We offer excellent hourly rates of pay, with a weekly payment every Friday and the possibility of ongoing work for those performing to the highest standards. Being part of our temporary chef team will give you the exclusive benefit of being flexible with working hrs and days as well as the opportunity to experience a variety of kitchen styles within the industry. If you're looking for full time hours or additional shifts to supplement your current work - Excel is the place for you! Responsibilities of a Temp Chef. Prepare all food items to order as per the client's specifications. Portion control of meat, fish and poultry. Ensure shelf-life, food safety and temperature standards are met. Follow HACCP procedures. Stock control of food items in your section. Minimise waste. Keep the kitchen area clean and sanitary - ensuring full clean down of section at the end of service. Record working hours on an authorised timesheet. Temp Chef Requirements. Full-Service experience as a chef in a fast-paced kitchen - 1 year minimum. Must bring own Uniform, Knives and Safety Shoes on EVERY shift. Eligibility to work in Ireland. Conduct yourself professionally at all times. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Diverse skill set. Be able to adapt a variety of environments. Proactive attitude. By law, everyone in Ireland working in the hospitality or catering industry must have valid Manual Handling and HACCP (Food Safety) certificates. Excel Recruitment can provide these courses on site, but will accept certificates from all accredited trainers.
