NPI Procurement Engineer - North Dublin. Our client has Procurement Engineering / Technical Procurement opportunities within the NPI (New Product Introduction) department in support of active new projects. The roles are based at the facility in Dublin and will involve occasional travel to supplier site and to development locations in USA. Candidates may be appointed at either Engineer or Senior Engineer level depending on qualifications and experience. The core aspects of the role involve: Liaising with suppliers, acquisition and development of newer suppliers and incorporation of supplier feedback. Acquisition of diverse technologies from supplier –including design, commissioning and management of a diverse range of moulds and capital equipment. Key interface between core R&D and downstream manufacturing. Interested applicants should have: Commercial and procurement experience built on baseline of NPI engineering skills including: a. Broad-based understanding of various manufacturing technologies. b. Understanding of global supply chains. c. Working knowledge of procurement IT applications, processes and reporting formats. d. Oral and written communication skills with ability to influence and negotiate. e. Ability to work cross-functionally. f. Capability to develop two-way mutually beneficial relationships with strategic supply partners. Training will be provided as necessary to familiarise suitable candidates with the regulatory environment in the medical technology sector in which the company operates.
