My client currently have a requirement for an experienced AP Manager with at least 6 year’s experience within a similar role managing a team of more than 5 people, you must also have an extensive accounts payable experience and management of a busy high preforming team. RESPONSIBILITIES. •Provide leadership and direction to the Accounts Payable team. •Direct, review and monitor the work of the AP team and prioritizing the team’s workload. •Responsible for end to end processing of purchase invoices, as well as ensuring tax compliance and supporting the VAT return process, performing reconciliations. •Management of AP month-end and year-end close process, ensuring that creditor reconciliations have been performed and month-end accruals have been accurately captured. •Preparation and analysis of AP reports for presentation to senior management. •Take ownership of the AP internal control environment to ensure weaknesses are minimized and a continuous improvement plan is delivered. •Develop, continually improve, own and implement advanced analytics and KPIs. •Manage and continually improve the period close process through standardization and automation to close the period faster and improve accuracy. REQUIREMENTS. •Strong AP experience with 5+ years leading an AP function in a fast-paced, high volume environment with strict reporting deadlines. •Previous experience of people management, building relationships. •Ability to build and develop a high performing AP team. •Experience using Sage and Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
