Quality & Business Improvement Manager - Dublin. Our client is a specialty packaging business that focuses on healthcare and high-end consumer markets, including confectionery, cosmetics, premium spirits and media packaging. This business provides its customers with an extensive array of premium folding cartons, inserts, labels and rigid packaging across a variety of substrates and finishes. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality / Business Development Manager. Core Purpose: In this role you will manage and develop the quality function of the business to ensure that it has the right skills, processes, materials, information and procedures to consistently meet customer requirements and the standards established by formal quality management systems (e.g. ISO) thereby maintaining a competitive edge within the market place. Core Responsibilities: Ensure the integrity of the quality system is maintained and developed thereby contributing to the achievement of consistent operational performance and standards. Manage and develop the QA function and promote a total quality philosophy at all levels thereby sustaining a culture of continuous improvement. Contribute to the factory efficiency by improving the performance of supplied materials and assisting production in establishing better controls over production process. Recruit, develop and motivate a QA team that optimises its effectiveness, is flexible in the support it offers and meets current and future business needs. Manage site quality database ensuring data is available to track and trend quality metrics enabling the reporting of findings to group. Manage the customer complaint procedure, investigation of quality problems, identification of causes and development of cost-effective corrective and preventative actions in order to ensure the integrity of quality management within the business. Track and trend quality metrics, and report findings to group. Establish and develop good professional working relationships with customers, providing a technical service and reference point as required to support the company’s products. Support NPI/NPD functions from planning to validation through to FAI and PPAP activities. Primary interface for ISO Certification and Customer Audits. Experience & Qualifications: At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Quality Management Procedures (ISO. QA testing procedures. Customer relations skills. People management skills. Presentation Skills. PC Skills - MS Office Suite. Industry standards / guidelines (e.g. Pharmaceutical Code of Practice / Hygiene regulations.
