This is a key role for an experienced transport professional who has experience managing large teams of drivers. You will be responsible for: Managing & controlling a fleet of vehicles & staff. Organising the efficient distribution & collections. Achieving SLAs in terms of both quality & supply and on time delivery. Improving efficiencies & increasing productivity & profitability via your fleet management. Liaising effectively with the team to give great customer & supplier relationships. Developing & implementing effective cost control processes using computer based systems to enhance the logistical function. Planning routes ensuring they are within legal driving hours & adhering to regulations. Ensuring driver compliance with Tachograph regulations. Driving improvements in Health & Safety. Ideally, candidates should have: A proven track record in a similar role with at least 5 years management & leadership. A Transport related qualification ideally CPC. Previous experience in a similar role with Telematics. Strong organisational & planning skills. Communicate clearly & effectively - verbally & written. An ability to work under tight deadlines & in a high pressure environment. Initiative & high self-motivation. Good decision making skills & follow through. Proficiency with Excel & other IT packages.
