The Noel Group are recruiting for a Procurement Officer on a 1 Year Fixed Term Contract for our Client based in Tallaght. Great Opportunity for the right Candidate. Key Duties & Responsib il i ti es: The main duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Officer, which may be adjusted in the light of. changing priorities, includes the following; Support tender preparation by clarifying scoping options, identifying alternatives and making. suggestions to ensure objectives are met. Liaise with the Office of Government Procurement. (OGPL as necessa Provide advice and support to contract managers in development of. tender documentation, evaluation, contract award, communication of decisions to tenderers. and contract management processes. Provides procurement support in relation to best practice public procurement procedures and. assists with the tendering and procurement process generally, as follows; Create, edit, publish and manage tender notices. Provide access to standard templates, purchasing procedures, checklists and. guidelines, legal terms and conditions, and other such documentation required for. the tendering pr. Co-ordinate tender clarifications, as required. Prepare, obtain approval and issue official purchase orders / Letters of Intent / formal. contracts, as appropriate. Prepare and update monthly contract logs / reports. Prepare and publish Quarterly Payment Returns on the CRU website. Setting up and maintenance of Procurement Fil. Manage the supplier database, including adding new suppliers, merging / deactivating. duplicate supplier accounts, amending the supplier name to reflect the correct legal/trading. name. Monitor compliance with contract management procedures for the contract The key objective to equip contract managers with the tools to manage contracts effectively. Procedures include the contract management process, documentation, operational management protocols and template service level agreements. Prepare key inputs and develop monitoring arrangements with respect to annual project and. procurement planning process, including value for money reviews. Prepare financial reports for high value contracts for annual year-end audits. Interface with internal and external auditors as required. To assist the Senior Manager in the discharge of his/her duty and to undertake special. assignments and/or duties as may be agreed with the Senior Manage. Person Spec i fication. Required Qualifications / Attributes: A relevant third level qualification or studying towards same; Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, computerized systems; Ability to work effectively on own initiative and in a team environment with commitment to. personal and professional development; Demonstrate strong commercial awareness with strong business focus; Be well-organized and work to strict deadlines, with the ability to manage and prioritize. different, and sometimes conflicting, workloads; Strong attention to detail and accuracy; Ability to maintain data confidentiality at all times; Be an effective communicator, with the ability to consult at all levels of the organisation.
